A multi-page ad for Panasonic consumer AV equipment featuring visionary filmmaker George Lucas at the height of his career along with some of his Star Wars characters. The ad introduces Sparky, a character created by Lucas and Panasonic as the “guide to the dream of giving life to electronics, of giving them human abilities like thought, sight, hearing and feeling.”

It’s unclear how much this character was actually designed by Lucas himself, but it is worth noting that the pictures are all copyright Lucasfilm, Ltd., even those without Star Wars characters.
