The ad introduces Sparky, a character created by Lucas and Panasonic as the "guide to those dreams of giving life to electronics, giving them the human abilities of thought,sight, hearing and feeling."

It's unclear how much this character was actually designed by Lucas himself, but it is worth noting that the pictures are all copyright Lucasfilm, Ltd., even those without Star Wars characters.
